Katherine purchased her bridal and bridesmaid fabric whist she was on holiday in Thailand. Prior to leaving for Thailand, Katherine and I discussed the designs for all four gowns and chatted about different fabrics that would be suitable. From there I was able to inform Katherine of the amount of fabric that would be required to make the gowns and supplied Katherine with a fabric sample to take to Thailand for comparison.
Katherine told of how much fun it was searching the stalls of Thailand to find that perfect silk satin and lace. For Katherine’s gown she decide on a lovely ivory silk satin and ivory corded lace and the bridesmaids a vibrant olive green silk satin.
The wedding gown was a traditional, vintage style gown. The bodice was ruched, with the ivory corded lace elegantly flowing down the bust. The A-Lined skirt featured pleating down the front left side, with the lace gracefully placed flowing the bodice to the skirt. A beautiful lace scalloping was placed along the hem line.
The three bridesmaid dresses were all olive green but very different in design, to suit each woman’s silhouette. One being a 1950’s inspired dress, with a bias cut cowl neckline bodice and the full gathered skirt with a petticoat.
